Emily POV
Once he has left us alone, I don't refuse and hug Nathan's torso like a lazy bear, feeling disgusted by the morbidness with which this man had dared to see me; especially with that over directed attention to my cleavage.
"It makes me sick" I say seriously, bolting to his chest.
I feel Nathan nod and after a heavy exhales, he kisses the crown of my head from where he doesn't break away.
"Me too" He agrees: "One of these days I'll lose my mind with his stupid comments and knock every tooth out of his big mouth, I swear."
The idea was charming, but as much as I wanted to see him do it, I didn't want his father to collect reasons to discredit Nathan at my expense. So that, pitifully, was not an option.
"It's best to ignore it" I peel my gaze from his chest and look into his brown eyes, delighted by the act of heroism I had just performed. Also trying to lighten the bad mood he had charged himself with: "As long as he does nothing but talk, I'll be fine."
