Emily POV
"Are you feeling okay?" murmurs Nathan at my side, surely noticing the fact that I was stirring uncomfortably.
More than usual.
"I don't know what a good idea it was to do this" I profess only seconds away from crossing the threshold straight into a room full of all-important people: "I don't know what I'm doing."
The moral high ground hits me and then I remember that just 24 hours ago I was vowing to hate Nathan. Yes, the same guy I had kissed and groped in a tiny room just meters away. My steadfastness was pathetic, and even more so was my willpower.
"I don't want to do this" I retort again under the brown man's bewildered gaze: "No, I definitely don't want to do this."
I let go of his forearm, move my hands to my pompous skirt and do a 180° turn on my way to the nearest pair of stairs. However and as expected, Nathan doesn't let me, and holding me by the wrist stops me having taken only one step away.
