Emily POV
He exclaims painfully, making me stir uncomfortably in the swing as a lump settles in my throat. Thinking of his pain was making me feel pain, physical and pure pain.
"You know it's like this" He turns to me again, giving me a look full of intrigue that disturbs me: "You know deep down that Nathan is no one to his family, and if that doesn't cause you pain then I repeat it, you didn't love him."
He repeats and my chest heaves, this time not only with pain but also with anger. I look at him more than obfuscated and without expecting anything from him I get up from the swing I was sitting on and courageously walk away, determined to take Samuel and leave without hearing another word, simply leaving him behind.
"Isn't that right Emily? If not contradict me" He dares to follow me, stepping on my heels with every step I take: "Let's see…"
