Emily POV
"If you stay in this town Emily is going to find you, do you want to see him?" Lana raises her voice and asks, but she wasn't really giving me options: "Tell me and if you so decide, we'll stay here. In a safe place for everyone. Do you want to see him?"
I insist, she asks but doesn't give me options. At the mere mention of it, my breath hitched, my tension rose and for a brief moment, I felt faint. I didn't want to see him, or his vibrant features, and I didn't want to listen to his vile lies, and Lana knew that.
That's why her questions had challenging overtones, not at all sympathetic. She expected my answer to be forceful, just as my actions had been.
"Are we leaving now?" I say, assuming that's the answer they needed to hear.
I see Blake subtly smile at me in satisfaction and nod pointing to his luggage and my luggage that now rested next to his.
"What about Lana, aren't you coming with us?" he asks.
