Emily POV
I put the phone down and sink my face into my hands for a few seconds, feeling the cold sweat on my forehead. I go back to the call and keep sensing him there, through his heavy breathing.
"I don't feel so good."
"Why?" I sense him thoughtfully, already a little stressed.
"I haven't been getting along very well with Lana these past few days. We're not at all good in fact" His words on repeat like a playlist in my head and my chest shrinks with those daggers aimed at my heart: "She's very upset with me, I've completely moved on from her and now she doesn't want anything to do with me."
"I see" He says in a tone of voice I can't quite decipher. I can't figure out if I have really convinced her or if she is still doubting me. Even though it was a reality, I was still hiding from him 50% of what was tormenting me: "Has she become very upset?"
