Emily POV
I only listen to her breathe for a few seconds. She exhales deeply and then speaks: "I'm not interested in hearing about your detective adventures with Carla, or your romantic history with Nathan. I don't have to be there for you when you're not there for me."
My chest shrinks and my eyes widen like saucers as if Lana were standing in front of me.
"What do you mean I'm not for you?" That question comes out of my windpipe with airs of being hurt.
"Yes, Emily. There's so much going on in your life right now that the least important thing to you is my pregnancy, but not to me, this pregnancy is my life right now. You go to rich people's birthdays, you live 24/7 with your rich boyfriend, you snoop around houses with the one I thought was your enemy but the only thing you don't do is give me a little attention."
"Lana you're on a whim."
