"I do care about Nathan, a lot. I feel partly to blame for his fight and that has me very worried" Now I'm the one who doesn't convince him so I see him let out a discreet chuckle full of disbelief: "Do you think it's very serious? It's not just a tantrum of his?"
"It's not, I don't think so. Michael is very proud and stubborn and to tell you the truth from everything he told me yesterday, it seems he had a lot of things bottled up inside him" The gloom was in his eyes. He looked hurt, he looked almost empty and I could only imagine the fear in his heart that he could not get his best friend back, "He even said that Harry was better than me.
He repeats it, repeats it a lot while his frowns furrow and his eyes glaze over a little. Every time we brought up the subject that's what he remembered the most. Apparently with those few words Mike had hurt more than just his alpha male ego, unaware of the power that unholy comparison had on him.
