Nathan POV
"I guess your lucky day has come" I selectively ignore her words and she notices. She snorts at my indifference and questions me for reaching out defensively.
"What's the matter, you don't want to be friends anymore by any chance?"
One more argument with an old friendship was not in my plans just now.
"Brie I'm just not having a good day, that's all."
She exhales deeply and pulls her bench a little closer to mine. She analyzes me with her sweet eyes for several seconds and with an overbearing redness speaks again.
"Let me guess, that little girl you're playing mommy and daddy with is giving you a hard time?" he asks.
"The little girl has a name Brie" I turn my gaze and see him with a cold expression, throwing daggers right at her neck: "But to take the doubt away no, it has nothing to do with her. You're not really good at guessing."
My answer doesn't convince him in the slightest but he drops the derogatory nickname from earlier.
