I choose to silence my thoughts and react as I had been doing lately with Lana; I just nod and agree with her, so they would put my fake not so-fake relationship aside and we could move on to talk about less spicy and more banal topics, the usual things people do at this age.
Just as the conversation was starting to get more interesting, I saw Nathan appear again in my range of vision with the dean of the division walking next to him. Both very jovial and giggly and patting each other's shoulder, I look at Blake suspiciously and he just shrugs.
"Polly, meet my fiancée this is Emily Mason who I told you about a moment ago." He introduces us but the unusual adjective makes my eyes widen like saucers, Blake starts coughing uncontrollably just as disoriented by that introduction but luckily the dean passes his reaction and extends his hand in my direction, smiling kindly.
