Emily POV
I look at him then quizzically, expecting something clearer to come out of his mouth but nothing does so I end up climbing down from the base, walking into the locker room, and changing into full battle without any clue as to what the brown-haired man was referring to.
"You're leaving too?" the moment I step out of the dressing room, I'm suddenly met by Amelia who also already had on the casual clothes she had arrived at the shop with.
I close the door behind me and nod.
"Yes, apparently Nathan has plans for us."
She smiles warmly.
"Nathan really loves you, doesn't he?"
Well, I still didn't know if he loved me, but I was sure he had feelings for me, my conscience says.
"Yes, it seems so" I try to joke about it and her smile only gets bigger, instinctively she grabs my hand to say goodbye but something about her catches her attention and makes her stop, making the smile disappear.
"Still no ring" She expresses as if that is cause for surprise or bewilderment.
