"Because I love Nathan, Emily" She doesn't take long to say and her response makes me grind my teeth, the confident way she says it makes me want to smash her beautiful face into the steering wheel: "He loved me like no one ever has and maybe like no one ever will and I worry for him because I've taken enough from him in his life."
"Carla I think you give yourself too much credit, what could you possibly have taken away from someone like Nathan, why don't you just accept that all you're looking to do is get him back and that's it?"
She narrows her eyes and throws daggers at me with her gaze, then looks away from me and grabs the steering wheel with both hands making her knuckles stiffen.
"Get off now, I don't want you in my sight anymore."
"Well, no. Everyone here talks and no one ever says concrete things, so you're going to explain to me right now why the hell you're not able to leave my boyfriend alone."
