Emily POV
"Did you find your cell phone?" Nathan asks peeking out from the second-floor balcony. Devastated I sit down: "What happened? You look distraught."
He punctuates the obvious and starts down the stairs bringing the same facades we had woken up with.
"Turns out I woke up being the talk of a website" I summarize but his head fails to grasp the gravity of my words: "We've been published in British Girl, I'm officially your partner as far as the whole of England is concerned and as if that wasn't enough, my family have seen the blurb."
At that moment she stands motionless in front of me, her lips parted.
"You hadn't told them anything?" I shake my head: "Fuck that's a bad way to find out then.
I nod agreeing with him, feeling like a good spoiled child, the urge to cry building up in my throat."
"I've got a lot of missed calls from mom, not a single text but a lot of calls. I think I'll get dressed up a bit and take off for my parents' house, you should come."
