Lust. Lust. Lust. When people think of this word, the one thing they picture is sex. Well, I'll let you in on a little secret. Lust doesn't just drive sexual desires; it drives the desire for excess wealth; the desire for fame; the desire for attention; the desire for food; the desire for affection; and the desire for freedom, at least in my case it did.
Most of the things listed above may not sound harmful, and they are not, but it's what drives them that makes it something to be cautious of; because when you let the wrong emotion—lust—drive your passion for something, you will never enjoy the fulfillment of gaining that thing.
In this story, I'm a girl who learned that when trying to seek something precious, I should've built my world on the right philosophies or better yet, the right emotions, that'll make me a better person and see the world differently, instead, it cost me my freedom, now I say the words I always wished I'd never say "had I known."
But I found freedom through most rare being. He saved me, and I'm thankful. If you're in this situation, know that there is a way out; know that the haunting memories, and disturbing voices will fade away and never return.
