An astonishing sight. Undeniably solid, circular objects tower over me. With material fragments extending down, I select a few in my fingers. They crumble with a rough touch. I sniffed the falling fragments. It wasn't pleasing to the nose.
An unpleasant aroma that withered away before I could make out anything it reminded me of. I investigate my surroundings, a rather unique location.
Magnificent as it stood, the surface of the towers was coarse, flaking off as I rubbed over them. Not strong enough to cut, not pleasant enough to enjoy touching.
With a decent few thrusts, I made certain the one tower I settled upon was sturdy enough to bear my weight. I slumped down, letting the exterior scrape my skin; profusely bleeding, with a piqued interest at ease.
Perhaps I would just take a rest to close my eyes until I could figure out the next move would be. I wasn't protected from exposure, but at least I was shielded from the extreme warmth of the desert.
The tops of the towers swayed as my eyes trembled to remain sharp. It was a beautiful landscape to fall asleep to.
I played with the silky material that fell from the tops of the towers. There was nothing like this at home, only sand and stone structures. At slightest, I have realized this is not my world. My mind drifted off into thinking I was on some form of a distant planet.
I wouldn't dislike accepting this region as my own. I didn't dare glance over to the desert land that settled on the edge of the unusual terrain that I had grown fairly enamored with. My burning eyes sting, and I could no longer hold them open.
My body aches again, the sunshine beaming down on me. "No!" I jumped awake at the sight of fucking sand everywhere. I can't even sleep! Did I previously experience this?
How many days would I perish and wake up in the same spot with my blade stuck in my torso? I would lie if I claimed I wasn't turning bitter at my situation.
This is always the introduction of it, kneeling in the earth. Bleeding out and sunburnt in the midst of a war that has nothing to do with me.
The warriors charging at me in the distance. I had to get back to the great towers that shielded me from the merciless sunshine. I recall the young woman and how she called out to me, I looked all around to locate her there.
She was genuinely, appealing like she was a deity that was kissed by the sun. She wasn't speaking this day around, just spread out, awaiting for the same scenario that had taken place before. I waved over to the Warriors with their weapons drawn.
Maximum speed ahead. It wasn't something that I had done before. I captured their attention for a minute. They paused in their tracks and stood staring at me. I seized the opportunity to dash over to Aurora. I slid down to her level. She was still, Unconscious.
My dagger in her femur. They ambushed us in her chamber before we turned up here. A wave of wind blasted me back when I sought to attack and protect us.
That must've led to the injuries on both of us. Nonetheless, I once again ripped out the dagger that was in her femur. A little whine came from her, but her condition didn't resolve. With minimal time to react, it seemed like once again I would be in a violent battle for my life.
I remained next to her sleeping body with all intents and purposes to leave her there like I did before. This time around she just wouldn't know it. Men with blades all around me. My hands did not panic, clutching my sword tight.
My fingers pressed. My feet shuffled around dancing in a grim battlefield swinging swords. I duck low, extending my arm out; Clinging to a lengthy curved blade. Slitting esophagi with hot blood dripping down me, getting back to my roots.
In war didn't matter whose blood it was as long as you were the person who walked away. I considered if I somehow had worked out this out this foolishness would end, but there was merely survival. In the outcome, I was victorious.
I stood there with nobody else viable around me. All I felt was resentment and bitterness.
This time around I snagged a mare and rode in the direction of my peaceful liberation from this hellish desert.
On horse back it took no time to arrive again, To such a delightful landscape that I had essentially fallen in appreciation with. I endured the battle, I left behind the absolute devil of a woman without the guilt of her being conscious to criticize me for it.
Now the battle was struggling to remain vigilant. I cannot die, I cannot sleep. This is what it must feel like being cursed. My torso slipped off the beast. I unbuckled its saddle and freed the animal.
A little nudge before trotting off from him told me he was grateful of the gesture. I started walking forward, painted in blood. Maybe the stallion was in the direction of water. I drifted behind him, no concept how long I was walking on my wobbly legs.
They throbbed with every step. Sand still in every inch of my clothes, shoes. My feet scraped raw from the grains. My shirt sticking to me. My strap scraping against my burnt skin, with the slightest specks of wet earth dug in places I would never get it out of.
The suffering was more of an inconvenience, but a discomfort that was the sole part keeping me awake. "Hey" a rich male tone spoke. I concentrated my sight on him. "Hey," I replied as we engaged eyes.
