"Roseanne, can I say something?" asked Aslan, passing the road while carrying his wife.
Since it was already night, Aslan deliberately chose the busier road. It was possible that there was something they had stumbled upon to put Rosie in a better mood.
"What is it?"
"I miss my wife," Aslan said.
The man paused for a moment to look back. Their faces were now very close, and Rosie quickly pulled down Aslan's hood because she was embarrassed to be stared at such a close distance.
"Today you are behaving like someone else. I can understand that you are tired, but… I feel like there's an invisible wall between us," Aslan said.
