Rosie and Aslan were now both silent. Then, Aslan suddenly rested his chin on his wife's shoulder.
"Roseanne," he called.
"Yes?"
"If you have anything to say about yourself, you can trust me."
"What do you mean?"
Aslan gripped Rosie's hand tightly. His warm breath brushed against the girl's shoulder gently. There was silence before Aslan answered.
"Nothing. Now I am your husband. I will always protect you. Even if I have to fight the world, I will do it as long as you stay by my side."
Rosie was stunned. Aslan seemed very serious about what he had just said. She wasn't sure what made Aslan say something like that, considering the man didn't seem to care about her at all.
