Aslan watched as Nicholas was being put at the front of the iron grate carriage while his ten guards were in the iron grate carriage behind their master. The two carriages were hand in hand, and the guard on the carriage draped a black cloth to cover the carriage, so that no one would recognize the people in Oceania uniforms inside.
It was possible Oceania had already known that Nicholas couldn't be contacted, and they had sent people to check on the prince's condition.
Aslan got on his horse and spurred his horse beside Nicholas' carriage. He didn't want the man to run away or anyone to help him escape. Either way, Nicholas had to be put on trial at the Angaria Palace.

Rosie felt weird. Her body was easily tired these days. Two days had passed, and after her argument with her mother on the first day she arrived, the dining table became very cold. Her mother didn't say anything, only Howland or her father would ask about Rosie's condition.
