The girl groaned while holding Nicholas' hand. She didn't want to be touched, and Nicholas immediately apologized for his presumptuous action.

Nicholas looked at Rosie dejectedly. "You want to go out to the village with me?" Nicholas asked, making Rosie's face look up.
