Aslan stood like a fool. He found it difficult to grasp the princess's simple sentence.
"But I'm the real one," Aslan replied.
"Lie! If you're real, prove it!"
Aslan didn't know what to do. It was the first time in his life that someone doubted him. He was in deep thought, trying to think of an answer that sounded reasonable. Aslan thought for a long time until he heard the sound of something being dragged away, followed by the lock of the door being unlocked.
Rosie's door was slightly open, but Aslan couldn't see anything because it was so dark.
"Your Highness?" Aslan called to the girl.
Rosie peeked through the door. She was ready to close the door again if what she saw was not the real Aslan.
"Aslan?" Rosie asked warily.
"I haven't given my answer yet," Aslan replied, making Rosie shake her head.
