"Roseanne, you're acting weird. I'll come back quickly after dropping off May," Aslan said, trying to remind his wife of his purpose for going to the Big Island.
"But…"
"Why? You're worried that I'll drown like Barl's father? Roseanne, trust me. I am much stronger than that." Aslan cupped Rosie's face gently. "I will not die before I see the faces of our children."
That wasn't what Rosie was worried about…
"If you go, then I will go too!"
Aslan blinked in confusion. No, he couldn't let Rosie go with him. The girl couldn't come to the Big Island. Most likely the troops looking for them were still roaming in that place. The last time he was there, he saw Commander Erwin as well as Howland.
Aslan wasn't going to take any risk with Rosie coming with him.
"No, you shouldn't. You must stay here. This is the safest place."
"But, Aslan, I just want to come with you. I promise I won't bother you. I will also look after May."
