Rosie nodded then held out her hand. Master Rufus placed the girl's hand on his palm facing up the ceiling, while his thumb touched her palm.
Rosie screamed in surprise as she felt a pain like being struck by lightning in her palm. Aslan quickly grabbed his wife and pulled her away, but Master Rufus let go of Rosie's hand first.
"Mathius, can you leave us for a moment?" said Master Rufus.
Mathius didn't say much. He then left the small house belonging to Master Rufus. Aslan didn't know where the man went under such a heavy storm, but that wasn't the thing he was worried about right now. He looked at his wife's palm, which was fine.
"You're not from this place are you?" Master Rufus asked.
Rosie nodded. She didn't need to hide anything like Aslan had said before.
"I already guessed. Your soul is not completely attached to your body," Master Rufus said. He then turned to Aslan. "You know that too?"
Aslan nodded.
