Howland put his hand to his lips, asking Rosie to come closer. "I wanted to whisper something," he said, making the girl excited.
"What's it?"
"Your birthday is less than a month away. You want me to give you a horse as a gift?"
Rosie's eyes went wide and nodded enthusiastically. "Yes! I really want it!!!!"
Howland patted Rosie's head gently. The girl looked really happy. Aslan, who saw how close those two siblings were, was envious. He also wanted to be included in their secret conversation.
However, the relationship between brother and husband was clearly different. Aslan just needed to be patient because Rosie was already his. Slowly, the girl would tell him too.
"Then, let's go. I've been wanting to take you to a special place in the town for a long time," Howland said, pulling Rosie's hand closer to the horse in the middle which was shorter than the other two, so it would make it easier for Rosie to ride the horse.
