Her eyes unlocked, clueless about her surroundings, they blinked as the brightness settled in them and her mind, trying hard to unearth the dilemma. She could now see, could now feel the texture of where she laid with her right hand and just before she could reach a further verdict, a man stepped in, dressed in a uniform that summed up her worries. Her head lifted from the pillow towards him. His spectacles were currently directed at her. He smiled while she stayed stuck in her head.Â
"What the f*ck."Â She mulled.
She hadn't planned on waking up in a hospital bed the following day. She let her head fall back on the pillow and then shut her eyes– it must all be a dream.
Just yesterday, it was the fifth of June – her birthday and for a loner, she would rather celebrate in the one place where no one judged. Even in her tipsy state, she danced flawlessly to the wild music and as she did, her eyes captured the faces of many around her. Was it the drink or the pill? It was as though time moved at a lazier speed. It didn't bother her much for she loved the sensation it gave as the lights flashed on. Â
Her alluring sugar-grey eyes seemed to have enthralled a pretty impressive man or was it her perfect body traced out in the Rose-red skimpy gown she wore?. She didn't mind, he looked like a wealthy bad boy from a mafia movie and now through the crazy crowd, he was slowly making his way to get to her without breaking the gaze. She liked that, a lot.
Kissing wildly, she stepped into the room moving backwards. Once they were both in, He slammed the door quickly with his left foot to avoid pausing the moment. She had her hands all over him, she could tear his shirt off if she was strong enough. He lifted her with both his hands grabbing her thighs and she crossed her hands behind his neck. The room was quite lovely, spacious and well organised. He headed for the bed and threw her on it once he was close enough. She laid there giving him a flirty smile that revealed she liked it. He was quick to undress and while he did, he wouldn't take his eyes off her. The way she spread her legs before him was even more arousing. She was like a fine wine he had found in the desert and his face showed he wanted to have it all.
He got on her and she pulled him against herself desperately, the kissing continued till she could feel her pantie get pulled down from her waist. Her eyes were shut to the pleasure that had already begun in her head as she let him take control.

" Why not spend the night.?" He inquired from the bed he laid. He sounded Spanish and was only wearing white underwear. His voice was low and his eyes watched her get ready to leave.Â
"As your wife?". She answered in her perfect British accent while staring at herself in the dressing mirror.Â
He heaved a sigh.
"I see you're no newbie."Â He said,Â
"No. I'm not,"Â She turned to him. "I can tell from the way you screwed me that you aren't getting enough of it."Â She told him with a nasty expression.
"You don't know me."Â He assured her, sitting up as he turned to land his feet on the ground.
"Oh but I do," She answered back slowly walking to where he was.
"Your sex hormones are quite on the high side and hers isn't. Frustrating I believe, but for love, you stay. "
She added.
His eyes blinked uncontrollably. She squatted before him, lifting his face to hers with her right index finger. Â
"Why do you read me?"Â He asked her.Â
"For the money and a lot of it, I will be what she can't and you will never have to go to bed horny…again…" she replied softly, biting her lips as she gently dragged her finger down from his chin to his D*.
He shut his eyes to the pleasure of it. She could feel it charge up again. She smiled staring at his face. He opened up his eyes and beheld hers naughtily.Â
"Deal."Â He said, grabbing her hair with his right hand as he kissed her desperately.

" Okay. Way too many details but it's fine. It's part of my job. Your memory looks fine. No internal or external injuries, I just need to ask you some more questions for further examinations and–"Â
The doc said lifting his brows and rolling his eyes, he seemed to be writing down something on the file he held as he stood beside her.Â
" Of course, I am fine and feel fine. My being here is a mistake." She told him. By now, she sat up on the bed, facing the doctor with her feet finally feeling the comfort of a pair of slippers.Â
"Miss–" He tried to get her name.
She swirled her eyes from exhaustion.
" Tara. Tara Wellington ". She responded.Â
" Okay.." He voiced, seemed like he was writing it down. " Well, Tara, people aren't mistakenly brought to a hospital. You were brought in here by a friend, well at least that's what he said he was to you". The doctor told her.
She scoffed.Â
" Friend? I have no friends and I don't keep male friends. Only male contacts and besides, I just moved here". She said,Â
"You were involved in an accident". He informed her.
" What? No, no, no, my face, is my face okay? My body? ". She panicked, touching her face and body worriedly.
" You should relax. Strangely, you are fine. Now can you try remembering what happened after your – entanglement?". He asked her.
She heaved a sigh and then rolled her eyes.
——
It was midnight, she felt the coldness of the wind plunge on her body as she stepped out of the hotel. The ground was wet, it was her season. She felt good and walked accordingly. A cab already awaited her outside the entrance. Once the driver got out and waved at her, she knew it was him and so she got in.Â
It was a smooth drive. It seemed her client had emphasized that she be taken home safely. She felt like a princess. She felt lucky and smiled to herself while listening to the cool jazz playing on the radio. She shut her eyes singing the words in her head till she felt the car suddenly switch lanes quite aggressively. She opened up her eyes at once but now all she could see was everything moving upside down. She didn't have the time to scream or try to escape. It was obvious the driver had lost control but it was a lonely road. It made no sense. It also made no sense that in a moment like this, she was trying to be analytical. The vehicle somersaulted till it came to a stop.Â
Still held against her seat by the belt, she tried to lift her head to see but all her eyes could behold was blood, the driver's blood and as she weakly made the move to turn her head towards her window…
———
"So..you're saying..that you saw two bears fighting on the main road at midnight and it explains why the driver had the accident". The doctor inquired, doubtfully.
"If you weren't going to believe me why did you ask?."Â She sounded offended.Â
"Not that I don't want to, it's just– " The doc said,Â
Almost immediately, someone burst into the room followed by a nurse trying to stop her.
"Oh my God, I am so glad you're okay, I was so worried, why would you scare us this way?". The lady asked as she rushed towards her with open arms.Â
Tara stopped her.
" Excuse me, Who are you?".She asked her in confusion.
The lady stopped and gave her a strange look.
"What? It's Liz, come on Alicia".The lady said,Â
" Alicia?" Tara sounded disgusted by the name. "Girl, I do not know you or any Alicia and don't call me that ever again," she added.Â
"What are you saying?.. Okay..it's okay, I know you must be confused but you will get better. We will get through this together. I'm just glad you are not hurt. I'm calling Stark."Â She said, reaching her hand in her bag.
"What the– what is going on here doctor and who is this?" Tara turned toward the doctor angrily. She could see him standing there confused as well as the nurse.Â
"I don't know..you tell me."Â He said,Â
"Know what? To hell with this." She said, detaching the fixed drip from her hand. They had tried to stop her but she got away somehow and now she wondered about in search of the exit in her blue patient uniform.Â
She ran through the passageway till she got to the reception. Standing in confusion and seeing just how she was getting a lot of stares, she began to hear the snapping sound of cameras on all sides causing her to cover her eyes and face with both hands as the flickers followed.Â
'What is this? What is happening? Is this a nightmare? I want to wake up.'
Questions roamed in her head. She could see some bodyguards heading toward her and an elderly couple too.Â
'Who are these people?'
