Chapter 15 - The hideout

"I guess we'll be stay in here like forever",Stanley said to Dóro. "We might but we don't have to. I have a plan and o need your help . I need you to get me the map of the city and the blueprints of every banks and jewelry shop in this town that has not been robbed yet. There's this one guy I need to have a word with. And we move now",Dóro replied. They left their hideout. It was very late in the night. They broke into the police station and Stanley located the map. They entered into the data base and saw that almost every bank and jewelry store that has been robbed. With that, they circled out every bank that has not been robbed and realized there was only one bank left. They took all the information they needed home to analyze them well. They got to their hideout safely and took their time to analyze all the information they gathered. The realized the robberies were done in a particular pattern and their work was easy because there wEre only a few targeted locations left. They studied the pattern and realized the robberies were done at specific times and all they had to do was be there in time.

"Soo tell me about you",Stanley asked. "What",Dóro replied. "Tell me about you, like where are you from and what are you ",Stanley asked again. "Ok,my name is Dóro and you know that already. Over time to time, the gods have gifted humans with special abilities to serve certain purposes. Mostly for war and assignation. Some call us weapons and others ,instruments of the gods. Growing up,I was always seen different and treated like a freak whenever people got to know about my abilities. I've lived for thousands of years and humans never accepted me in the past. So I decided to live like one of them. I watched humans kill each other in wars but I promised not to interfere in the matters of humans because your flaws makes you human. Wars are bad but without them, the world would have never advanced. If there's one thing I've noticed, the strong will always devour the weak . I chose to protect the weak in the past but I realized it was meant to be like that so I decided to protect people by being a police instead of going around and burning people to dust",Dóro replied as he looked at his reflection in the in the mirror and saw his eyes burning like the sun and he said to Stanley,"we should sleep now. We need to have enough rest". Stanley agreed and they be the went to bed.

They woke up the next morning and went out to get food to eat. It was Wednesday and the next robbery was due to Friday. They dressed in ways people wouldn't recognize them then got back to their hideout. After eating,Stanley was studying the blueprint of the building,Dóro was thinking of his past and all he has done and been through. He walked up to Stanley and said,"Hey,I've got something to show you. Hope you're not afraid of heights ". "I'm not I guess",Stanley replied in s sarcastic manner. Dóro flew Stanley to where he grew up. The town was all developed and all. Everyone looked at them as they walked through town. The elders council has been turned into a church and things were very different. Dóro then took Stanley to lake Politn lake, where he used to train. When they got there,he said to Stanley,"Thus is where I used to train. To be honest, this is where I used to make fun out of myself. Everyone in town hated me. I was not as powerful as I can now,you can say I am a late bloomer. Everyone lost hope in me. The only people that had home In me was my mother and an elder called 'Ram'. I've not used my abilities in a long time". Dóro closed his eyes, his veins glowed red as the rage passed through them. He opened his eyes and it burned like the sun. Stanley stood there looking astonished as usual. Dóro took his father dagger from his coat. "What is that",Stanley asked. "It's a dagger,it belonged to my father. He died before I was born. He was killed by his twin bro. Sometimes it feels like he speaks to me through this dagger. Dóro held the dagger in his palm. It burned with the rage. He dropped it and chains of fire tied to the dagger and connected it to his hands before it reached the ground. He began to swing the dagger then said to Stanley,"You might want to dress back a little. He released the dagger to strike a tree, splitting it into two equal halves then pulled it back to his palms. "That was crazy", Stanley said to him with a marveled look on his face. "I know,I know what I have to do. I can't change the prophecy. I'll hand over the key but first,I need to avenge the death of Carlos",Dóro replied with an angry look on his face". "Just let it go man, you'll only look like the monster they see you as",Stanley said to Dóro again. Dóro listened to Stanley,at least that's what he thought. It was getting dark and Dóro flew them back to their hideout.

Stanley continued to study the blueprint of the bank and plan how they would stop the robbers without getting anyone injured. Dóro began to sing the song his father sang when he was still in his mother's womb. "What does that mean?"Stanley asked. "The dark will return but the rage will burn. The gods has been great by giving us the rage. And I can't remember the rest. Let us sleep for we need enough rest. It has been a long day"Dóro replied. They both went to bed.
