A small waterfall in the middle of the valley that falls from between the rocks at the top of the Valley. The water stream own voice, feel like music that soothes the soul for anyone who wants to live a peaceful life without any disturbance from outside.
The woman lives a solitary life, far from the hustle and bustle of the villagers. If she wants to buy her necessities, she only needs to go down the mountain, along the edge of the river that barely ripples. She has lived like this since she was a teenager. Because in truth, she loves life in the mountains, which gives a calm impression, also surrounded by nature.
Her daydream was disturbed by the touch of two hands wrapped around her waist, his muscular hands, strong but soft. His hands embraced her tightly, into a warm embrace, even warmer when the warm air blew from his nose.
The man put his chin between the curve of her neck, also looking out the window. Said "What are you thinking?" he asked in a soft tone.
A wide smile immediately adorned the woman's face. "Nothing, just enjoying the tranquillity of this moment" The woman turned her body, even though she was still in the man's warm embrace. The smile grew wider when her eyes met the man's "I didn't hear you come and enter the house" she said while stroking and rubbing the man's left cheek.
"Hmm, it seems, you are too solemn in your tranquillity, that you didn't see and hear me come home, is there something I should worry about?" the man asked with a serious and caring face. His eyes stared softly at the gaze of the woman in front of him, which he would never get tired of staring at, even until her eyes lost their moisture and dried up, he would still continue to stare full of affection.
"Hmm nothing escapes your sharp eyes" The woman chuckled, still gently caressing the cheek of the man in front of her.
"That's what I'm afraid of too, because you have the ability to hide things from me, you promised not to hide anything from me" he stated in a firm but gentle voice. The embrace of both hands grew tighter, encircling the waist of the woman in front of him. His words had a strong basis. Because indeed the woman in front of him at that moment, was able to do it. she had a power that he didn't have. And that made him restless.
"And there's nothing you need to be afraid of here, Ken. I will continue to be by your side, living peacefully here until our hair turns white and until the end of our lives" The woman said, guaranteeing in a soft and calming voice. "What did you get today, Ken?" she asked changing the topic gently.
Kendric, staring intently into the eyes of the woman in front of him, tried to find a glimmer of ripples from the calm gaze of her eyes, unfortunately he saw nothing. Finally, he could only sigh, answering "Two rabbits" his words were short, because he knew what he would get after that. The woman's face, from smiling sweetly, immediately pouted, sour "You know, rabbits are my favourite animals, why do you keep making me eat them". Her eyes stared at Kendric's eyes with a pleading and blaming gaze.
This time Kendric chuckled, he always liked her spoiled attitude like that. Making him feel warm in his heart. And he would always spoil her for everything. "I know, mya sweet rabbit. But I have no choice, because after hunting and wait for so long, not a single deer has appeared. If I keep waiting, I'm afraid you'll starve, you know I can't see you starving. I'm sorry, okay?" this time he was the one who stroked and caressed the woman's head gently and lovingly.
"In that case, let me hunt next time," she concluded quickly, and the sour face disappeared, replaced by a small, cheerful smile on her tiny lips.
"You also know that won't happen, right? How can I let you hunt out there and endanger yourself?" Kendric's voice was firm and serious. He was a man, hunting was a man's job. That was the principle he had instilled in himself since he met Keisha. He only wanted to protect her from the dangers of hunting. No one knew which wild and ferocious animal would suddenly appear in front of her when she was off guard and threaten her life. He would never allow that.
The woman sighed, resigned. "Kendric, you must stop spoiling me, hunting is nothing new to me, I have been hunting since I was a teenager, to feed myself. I was able to do it alone before we met, remember?"
"That was old time Keisha, and now you have me, so wait for me here quietly, while I hunt out there" he replied, not giving her space to get what she wanted to do. "Come, let me help you, prepare the food, I think you are a little hungry, right" he invited to end their conversation. And he knew he always managed to soften her desires.
Keisha had no choice, every time they argued about hunting. Kendric could always distract her. With heavy steps, she followed Kendric leading her towards the kitchen behind the house. They worked together, preparing lunch happily.
When all the dishes were ready on the dining table, the two sat side by side. Even though the house belonged to Keisha, but she made Kendric sit at the head of the table. That's how much she cherished him.
Kendric as usual filled Keisha's plate with foods, a normal thing he always did, every time they ate together. Thus, at least, he made sure Keisha ate enough, he knew exactly how much foods she could eat and finish it.
After that Kendric started eating, the food on his plate. His eyebrows furrowed, when he had devoured three spoonsful, but the woman beside him had not touched her food. She even just looked at the food on her plate. He lowered the spoon he was holding on his plate.
"It tastes delicious, your favourite flavour" he said, try to catch her attention. Keisha turned to him with a sad look "Need me to bribe you?" he asked when no words were heard.
"They don't have to end up here, like this" Keisha muttered while lowering her head, looking down.
"My sweet rabbit, I know you don't have the heart to eat them. Right now, they're all we have. Besides, they're already dead, and cooked. You'll only waste the natural resources given to us" Kendric coaxed her gently, hoping that her sadness would lessen, and she could put her sadness aside for a moment, so she could eat. Seeing no response, he reached out his hand, grabbed her right palm, squeezed it to get her attention.
Keisha lifted her head, looked at him and smiled slightly. "I'm sorry, I just remember the incident, where because of them, we were able to meet for the second time. Being able to live together here in peace and quietly. I just feel grateful and want to cherish them". Keisha was carried away by her feelings, tears streaming down her cheeks and turning red with sadness.
Seeing this, Kendric immediately reached out, pulled her, and made her sit on his lap. Of course, he remembered the incident very well. "Hey, I'm sorry, I didn't know you felt that deeply for them, forgive me, in the future I will never hunt Rabbits again, OK, I promise" he hugged her tightly, stroking her back, giving her the attention, she needed right now. Keisha let herself curl up in Kendric's arms.
It happened three years ago. Their second and unexpected meeting. And because of that meeting, Kendric didn't want her to hunt anymore. Not if not with him. Since their first meeting, Kendric promised to live with one goal. He was determined when he grew up to be a mighty, strong man with magical powers, just like the woman inspired him. He went to study with a great teacher at that time, not just one teacher, because he studied hard, he quickly mastered every lesson taught to him. When he had learned everything from one teacher, he would say goodbye and look for another teacher again and again. Until he became the man he is today. He learned various things, from swordsmanship, archery, spears and even magic, not just any magic but powerful magic he learned. Even though he had a strong ambition, which seemed like it would not go out just like that when he had achieved his ambition. He still adhered to the principle of kindness, the power he had he only used for kindness, helping others who were in trouble, he had a big kind heart. The words she said when they first met were always planted in his heart 'You have a pure heart, your eyes even though they are gray but your eyes shine brightly, as bright as the full moon at night' and he wanted to get the same impression when they met again.
