Ezra followed him in an expressionless manner, he could feel Kendric's emotional turmoil. A strong and heavy aura pierced every pore of his body. but he still forced himself to look calm and composed walking behind him. But before he stepped out of the room, he sent a signal to Farley "Help me, sir!"
Farley just winked at him, smiling mischievously.
Ezra felt helpless. He followed Kendric out of the room.
"Hey, come down!" Vhaken called out to Leigh, who he saw. She was dazed on stage. He dragged her off the Stage. Walk to their seats. They did not heed the farewell greetings between the committee and other participants.
Right now, Leigh just wanted to disappear from the meeting room. From this morning she had felt that today was going to be a tough day for her, and it was hard what her instincts told her, come to reality. Here she was, dazed in the crowd of the meeting room. And his dazed state was snapped by Farley's voice.
"Leigh, congratulations." Farley approached them from the stage. His face was smiling as usual. He reached out his hand for Leigh to shake.
For a moment there was no reaction from Leigh, she was still digesting what had happened. Her eyes were still half dazed, but she noticed Farley's presence in front of her. She smiled faintly at the end. Welcomed Farley's hand. She felt Farley grip her palm tightly as he moved it up and down once, firmly. "Thank you," his voice was choked, almost a whisper.
"See you at the Terrazen Office," said Farley, still smiling, as he released his hand from Leigh. Turned around, then walked away, leaving the meeting room.
Leigh stared at Farley's back figure until he disappeared through the door. Once again, her body was jolted by a poke from Vhaken. "Come" he said, grabbing his belongings from the table, holding her hand and dragging her out of the meeting room.
Vhaken dragged her out of the hotel, the hustle and bustle of vehicles on the street brought Leigh out of her reverie. Suddenly she asked "Where are we going?" Her eyes stared intently at the side of Vhaken's face, anticipating.
"You weren't thinking about spending our last day on the sidelines without having fun, were you?" Vhaken's enthusiastic face was in stark contrast to his current happy attitude. It was nice to finally be able to take out just him and Leigh, without anyone bothering him.
Leigh just stared in silence. On the one side, she was happy, at least she didn't have to be trapped in a hotel room with Kendric, since last night his aura felt heavy and suffocating, making it difficult for her to breathe. 'Well at least let my heart feel relaxed for a moment' with that a faint smile appeared on her lips. And her steps are equal as Vhaken.
"Besides, our plane is tonight, we still have half a day to have fun. And maybe you want to buy souvenirs for our colleagues at Terrazen and for your other acquaintances." Vhaken's enthusiasm was palpable. His hand still gripped Leigh's wrist tightly.
The two of them went to a restaurant not far from the hotel, for lunch, before they explored the city of Yannick. They ate enthusiastically and looked very happy. Even though the restaurant they ate at didn't look expensive, it was even look like an ordinary restaurant. Which is enough for both of their pockets, of course.
After finishing their ate they went to the town square by taxi. A place where they will see the hustle and bustle of Yannick city. Also, life there. On both sides of the road are filled with shops selling various kinds of knick-knacks and unique items, which are suitable as souvenirs. There are also various types of food typical of the city of Yannick.
The two of them walked, like a couple. Moreover, Vhaken's eyes occasionally glanced at Leigh, seeing her smiling face while looking around. And also towards the tight intertwining of their hands. Vhaken secretly intertwined his fingers with Leigh's, without her realizing and made sure he held Leigh's fingers tightly between his own. His heart was very happy beyond measure.
He didn't know when his feelings for Leigh developed, from being a co-worker to now growing feelings for her. The thing that makes him happy is that he is currently spending time with her. Their current togetherness is certainly something he really longs for.
And he will do everything to win her heart. That's his determination.
The two walked with relaxed but happy footsteps. Leigh's eyes darted here and there, looking for something to buy to take home to Terrazen.
Until finally something caught Leigh's attention. She walked towards the stall. Her eyes only looked at one thing that caught her attention.
"Hello ladies and gentlemen, Please take a look" Invite the seller who sells his merchandise enthusiastically.
"What are you looking for, Leigh?" asked Vhaken, who followed Leigh to a stall that looked like it was selling antique and unique items. He followed her gaze. He leaned forward, intending to take the item that Leigh was glancing at but he wasn't too quick. Because a hand had preceded him. And the seller's voice echoed.
"You have a sharp eyes Miss, this is an antique from 700 years ago. More precisely, during the Nesvaloszon kingdom, this necklace was a relic from the Queen, who was believed to bring 'good luck'. "Anyone who wears it will always be lucky in various ways." The seller was silent for a moment, taking in Leigh's expression, whose eyes couldn't leave the necklace he was holding in his hand. But he knew that she heard what he had said.
"This suit you very well, Miss. You will be look so charming when you wear it." The seller handed Leigh the necklace, which she didn't immediately take. But her eyes continued to look at the necklace with a sparkling gaze.
"You like it Leigh?" Vhaken, who saw Leigh, did not react to the interaction given by the seller. Taking the initiative by asking, but he also didn't get a reaction from her. Immediately he grabbed Leigh's shoulder and squeezed it slightly.
Leigh herself just woke up from her daze. Raised her head towards Vhaken with a questioning expression.
"You like it?" Vhaken repeated his question, after getting a reaction from Leigh. He brought the necklace he was swarding up to almost level with her nose. Letting the necklace shine even brighter in the sun reflection and making the necklace sparkle with the rainbow colors of the pendant gem.
Leigh didn't realize how the necklace had been in Vhaken's hands. Her eyes were again staring at the stunning necklace. Spontaneously she answered in a barely audible voice "it's very beautiful".
How could the necklace not amaze her? The shape alone is unique, at first glance if you look at the gem it is in the shape of a heart with half a heart, enticed with silver, which coils around the half heart shape with contrast and elegance. The impression is that the pendant is a combination of the heartbeats of couples who have fallen in love, tied tightly with silver lines to strengthen the bond of love. Plus, the chain is neither too big nor too thin. It fits perfectly with the shape of the bluish pink pendant. Pink is signifies of love and blue is signifies the depth ocean of that love.
Seeing Leigh's reaction, Vhaken didn't hesitate, his gaze immediately moved to the seller. "How much is this necklace, sir?" he asked politely, lifting the necklace in his hand for a moment.
"From the story behind the necklace, it's 5,000 dollar" answered the seller with a big smile and hoped that the merchandise would sell.
Hearing the words from the Seller, Leigh's eyes opened wide, shocked. 5,000 dollar is almost equivalent to the salary she received working at Yannick corporation. She thought it was something that wasn't worth buying, indeed the necklace stole her attention but that didn't mean she would waste the money she had worked so hard to earned, just for an antique necklace. No, she wouldn't buy it.
"That's expensive, sir," replied Vhaken, who apparently didn't expect the price to be that expensive.
"That's a rare necklace, sir, obviously expensive," answered the seller with a smile still on his face, which seemed to never fade from his square face, with his hair neatly combed to the right side.
"Leigh, do you really want it?" Vhaken asked to confirm. After that he will offer it. Merchandise stalls like this definitely raise the price of the goods they should be selling. His face was full of concern waiting for Leigh's answer.
"No, I don't think so," Leigh's answer sounded hesitant, between yes and no.
"500 dollar" in a loud voice, Vhaken looked at the seller, like a broker who was good at haggling. And have been well trained, dealing with naughty sellers.
