RIAS VIOLACIUM
I was right now 100 meters away from Razak's location.
I was currently watching the scene from the eyes of an eagle, it had black wings and sharp talons.
The way I could watch the world from its eyes was quite different.
Its eyes were way sharper than mine which in turn helped me get a better view of the situation.
My initial plan was to keep Viserys as a trump card but I quickly gave up on that.
The enemy we were about to face was much more dangerous than my previous estimates, so we needed all the help we could get from the start of the battle.
Drakos was already rallying up magical beasts from the far end of the forest.
He was already in a pitiful condition, the stunt I pulled out to dry myself had cost him dearly.
The reason why Viserys was able to teleport here without any issues was because he had already memorized the coordinates of almost all the cliffs and valleys when he was young.
I still remember him boasting about it;
"I can't see but that doesn't mean I am useless, to open a dimension portal one must know exactly how much distance they must cross in a particular direction;
from the altitude to the longitude and latitude one must know how much distance they have to travel, that's it.
The people with eyesight have it much easier because dimensional magic also depends upon imagining the detail of the place they have to go to;
with the help of holograms, imagination becomes quite an easy task.
Meanwhile, I have to precisely remember at which coordinate what kind of mountain lay, how its touch felt and what kind of sensation it gave me and formulate a picture in my mind.
Mana sure works mysteriously, the more you get attuned to it the more you will understand"
So, the conclusion is that Viserys didn't even bother to get acquitted with his newfound eyes, he had already achieved a level where he didn't simply need them.
However, making Samantha fall from the cliff was not in the plan, the strategy was simply to abduct and torture her till she started revealing the things she knew.
The dark-skinned woman with plump lips and an oval face looked pathetic.
Her eyes were wet, there was some sought of blue colored ink spilled on her blouse and her black hair was disheveled, it looked like she has been through hell.
'Did Viserys torture her already? Why does she look so miserable', I thought inwardly.
Before I could contemplate any further I heard a hoarse sound, it was undoubtedly Viserys's voice;
"Razak, lift your sword off that lass, can't you see that she is still traumatized?
If you keep this up, she might faint" he spoke out loud
"Why should I follow your advice old man?
Who are you to tell me how I should proceed?
This woman here is the reason, my guardian can't heal himself, it's all because of her and his boyfriend's fire sealing array" He snarled
"The thing is my boy, her boyfriend is dead" Viserys rebuked.
'Wait, why did he not show any reaction when Razak mentioned Drakos, does he already know who that drake is?
And Nicholas is dead?
Is this some kind of fast-paced fairy tale?
How can so many astonishing events take place in the span of half a day?'
I started thinking to myself, but the more I thought the more confused I got.
I didn't know what to expect next, the situation I was in kept getting crazier and crazier.
While I was still collecting myself, Razak spoke up
" If he is dead, then why is the fire sealing array still in effect? old man"
"Your ignorance amazes me to no ends Razak, do you even know a single thing about mana and magic?
You are too proud of yourself and the tricks you pull off by using the world's energy, your arrogance is going to be your downfall"
"Stop your bullshit judgment and answer me, Why is the fire sealing array still in place if her worthless husband is dead." Razak shrieked
The moment those words escaped Razak's mouth I could faintly see Samantha's eyes filling up.
'Don't start crying now damnit, you are a grown-ass woman' I thought.
Nobody comforted her, both of the men didn't even glance at the grieving figure.
I didn't like Razak's attitude a single bit but I could feel where he was coming from though.
At a moment's notice, Viserys spoke up again ;
"An array doesn't depend upon the life or death of its maker, it depends upon the mana crystal embedded in it.
There are only two ways to destroy an array, either wait for the crystal's mana to run out or pluck the crystal out with force, only she knows the location of the array", he said while pointing his index finger towards Samantha's direction.
Razak finally threw away his sword and offered the grieving figure his hand, his demeanor which was of a wild beast a while ago had suddenly changed to that of a kind gentleman in a matter of seconds.
'Why does he have so many fucking mood swings?' I inwardly thought.
Before I could figure out his motive he started speaking again ;
" I am sorry for the harsh remarks, but we don't really have more time to waste, so please cooperate;
I sense chaotic energy and it's giving me an eerie feeling".

Author's note: yes I haven't explained much about how Viserys can handle himself even after having hallucinogens in his bloodstream and many more things, I can guarantee that there is not a single plot hole until now
on a secondary note if you have persisted this far then you are in for quite a ride, it will only go uphill from now...
