Raizel followed after Tao and the 3rd Elder. He entered the elevator, and surprisingly, the elevator has not even a single scratch on it. The light went on, and the elevator started moving down after he pressed a floor button.
It was no mistake, he thought. Cadiz Etrama di Raizel raised his palm over his stomach. He stared intently. The aura that lingers in every corner of the house was Frankenstein's. That, he's sure of. It was his dark power which cleaved the house in half. It was Frankenstein's power which he felt linger on that wall.
Vividly, he still remembered the day where he received the complains of the nobles and humans around him. "Frankenstein is a dangerous human." They were saying. "He experimented with nobles and humans alike." Or when he received a request from the Lord to put Frankenstein's actions under his control.
That night, Raizel found Frankenstein in one of his laboratories in Lukedonia, researching and flourishing his scientific knowledge of the occult.
'So, the rumors were true.' Raizel remembered confronting him.
'My Lord!' Frankenstein was shook. 'How did you… find this place?' he asked.
'They told me you've taken countless lives for your experiment.' Raizel said. 'All are saying your power is dangerous.'
Raizel looked him in the eye, but Frankenstein casted his gaze to the ground.
'Frankenstein, as your master, I command you; from this time, your powers are sealed.'
'... As you wish, Milord."
Ding! The elevator sounded as he reached the lowest floor. Raizel snapped out of his memory, and cleared his mind to assess what was happening now.
He stepped out of the elevator, and as Tao said, the laboratory was also utterly destroyed. Screens were broken, equipments were on fire, and some in pieces.
"Ah! Raizel-nim." Tao called. He was standing from a far corner of the lab.
Raizel went towards him and found that the 3rd Elder was now sleeping soundly inside a test tube chamber. His body was soaked in green water, and an oxygen mask equipped on him.
"This is an old model machine, but this should do the work." Said Tao.
"When will he wake up?"
"I don't know. Probably a day or two later."
Raizel nodded. He turned around and headed to the elevator again.
"Where are you heading to, sir?"
"Somewhere. I'll be back immediately." Raizel replied. He continued on, and entered the elevator. Tao called out to him but he ignored it, and left.
"So, what happened here exactly? It seems like someone just decided to wake up and choose to go berserk on this place. Computers were halved, if not shattered." Tao was talking to himself. "These equipments costs millions of dollars. I'm screwed if Frankenstein learned of this."
Tao was checking every machine, hoping to salvage whatever he could find. It was then when suddenly, a thought came to his mind. 'What became of the data?' he asked himself. 'That was the most valuable thing here.'
Tao was overcome with anxiousness and unease. He immediately rushed his nervous body to the computers, trying to check their USB ports, or the flash drives themselves, hoping they hadn't been destroyed. For a long time did Tao searched for data stored on flash drives but unfortunately, however, he found no such thing. That is, except for a single drive that contains no experimental data whatsoever. Nothing, but the CCTV footage of the past week. It was mounted into a port in one of their old computers as it was only for the CCTV.
Tao ejected the drive and took it. He raised it in the air and looked at it with hope in his eyes. Tao smiled.
