Eddison was soon at her corner. He flew open the door, startling her. He still made no gesture to mutter any words. He merely veered around and settled back in the driver's seat again, smashing gear. He possibly needed to get the car parked in the parking garage.
Elma started toward the elegant front door and soon saw a woman walk out of it with her has to her sides.
"Elma Gray?" the pale-looking woman said. Chin upfront. "I hope you did not have it hard locating a place like this?"
"Ah… no. I had —"
"Eddison." The woman nodded her fair head. "He is good at what he does. I presume you didn't come with any luggage? Come right in and let us get that much sorted out."
The woman held out her hand and Elma took it. Just as they were about to make it past the door, Elma pulled back. "Who are you?" she asked.
"Who am I?"
"Yes," Elma said. "If you know my name so well including my surname, it's only fair that I had a name to call you by."
