Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

"Logan, what is it?" Anna whispered, her heart racing with fear.

Logan's eyes narrowed as he focused on the source of the movement, his body tense and ready to spring into action at a moment's notice. "Stay behind me," he said, his voice low and urgent.

With bated breath, Anna watched as Logan moved forward, his movements fluid and graceful as he approached the shadowy figure that lurked in the darkness. And as the moonlight illuminated the scene before her, Anna's breath caught in her throat at the sight that greeted her eyes.

Standing before them, bathed in the silvery glow of the moon, was a creature unlike anything Anna had ever seen before. Its fur was a deep shade of black, its eyes glowing with an otherworldly light as it stared back at them with a mix of curiosity and suspicion.

"Logan, what is that?" Anna whispered, her voice trembling with awe.

Logan's expression was grim as he faced the creature before them, his body tense and ready for whatever might come next. "That, Anna," he said, his voice barely above a whisper, "is a creature of the night. And it's not here to make friends."

As the creature of the night prowled closer, its movements sinuous and predatory, Logan stepped forward to shield Anna, his stance protective yet poised for action. The air crackled with tension as the two beings faced off in the moonlit garden, each assessing the other with wary eyes.

"Stay behind me, Anna," Logan murmured, his voice a low rumble that resonated with authority.

Anna nodded, her heart pounding in her chest as she clung to Logan's words like a lifeline. Despite the fear that threatened to consume her, she felt a surge of courage welling within her, spurred on by the unwavering strength and determination radiating from Logan's presence.

As the creature drew closer, its eyes fixed on Logan with a fierce intensity, Anna's senses went into overdrive, every nerve in her body tingling with anticipation. She could feel the primal energy crackling in the air, a tangible force that seemed to electrify the very atmosphere around them.

Suddenly, with a guttural growl that sent shivers down Anna's spine, the creature lunged forward, its claws slashing through the air with lethal precision. But before it could reach them, Logan sprang into action, his movements swift and fluid as he intercepted the attack with lightning speed.

The two adversaries clashed in a flurry of claws and teeth, their movements a blur of motion as they grappled with each other in a deadly dance. Anna watched in awe as Logan fought with a skill and ferocity that belied his human form, his movements guided by instincts as old as time itself.

Despite the odds stacked against him, Logan held his own against the creature, his strength and agility proving to be formidable weapons in the battle for survival. And as Anna watched him fight, a sense of awe and admiration welled within her, filling her with a newfound respect for the man who stood before her.

But just as it seemed that victory was within their grasp, the creature unleashed a devastating blow that sent Logan reeling, his defenses momentarily faltering under the force of the attack. With a triumphant snarl, the creature prepared to deliver the final blow, its eyes gleaming with savage intent.

"Logan, look out!" Anna cried, her voice echoing in the stillness of the night.

But before the creature could strike, Logan's instincts kicked into overdrive, his body moving on pure instinct as he dodged the attack with lightning-fast reflexes. With a swift counterattack, he delivered a blow that sent the creature staggering backward, its eyes widening in shock as it realized it had met its match.

As the creature staggered backward, Logan seized the opportunity to press his advantage, his movements fueled by adrenaline and determination. With a fierce battle cry, he launched himself at the creature, his fists pounding into its dark fur with a relentless fury.

Anna watched in awe as Logan fought with a strength and ferocity that seemed almost superhuman. Each blow landed with a resounding thud, driving the creature back with each strike. Despite its size and power, the creature seemed unable to match Logan's relentless onslaught.

But just as it seemed that victory was within reach, the creature let out a deafening roar, its eyes blazing with renewed determination. With a sudden burst of speed, it lunged forward, its claws slashing through the air with deadly precision.

Logan's senses went into overdrive as he dodged the creature's attack, his movements a blur of speed and agility. With lightning-fast reflexes, he countered the creature's blows, his fists striking with deadly accuracy.

But the creature was relentless, its strength seemingly inexhaustible as it continued to press the attack. Logan fought with all his might, his muscles straining against the force of each blow. Yet despite his best efforts, he could feel his energy waning, the relentless assault taking its toll on his body.

Anna watched in horror as the battle raged on, her heart pounding in her chest with each passing moment. She felt powerless to intervene, her limbs frozen with fear as she watched Logan's desperate struggle.

But just as it seemed that all hope was lost, Logan managed to land a decisive blow, his fist connecting with the creature's jaw with a sickening crunch. With a deafening roar of pain, the creature stumbled backward, its eyes wide with shock.

Seizing the opportunity, Logan launched himself at the creature, his fists raining down with unbridled fury. Blow after blow landed with bone-crushing force, until finally, with one last mighty strike, the creature collapsed to the ground, defeated.

Breathing heavily, Logan stood over the fallen creature, his chest rising and falling with each labored breath. Anna rushed to his side, her heart pounding with relief at the sight of him standing victorious.

"Logan, are you alright?" Anna asked, her voice filled with concern.

Logan nodded, his gaze never leaving the creature at his feet. "I'm fine, Anna," he replied, his voice tinged with exhaustion. "Thanks to you."

Anna felt a surge of pride at his words, grateful that she had been able to stand by his side in their moment of peril. Together, they had faced down the darkness and emerged triumphant, their bond stronger than ever.

As they stood there, catching their breath in the aftermath of the battle, Logan turned to Anna with a weary smile. "We should head back to the castle," he said, his tone serious. "It's not safe to linger here."

Anna nodded, her heart still racing with adrenaline as she followed Logan back towards the safety of the castle walls. Despite the dangers that lurked in the shadows, she knew that as long as they stood together, they could overcome anything that came their way.

And as they disappeared into the darkness, the moonlight casting long shadows behind them, Anna couldn't shake the feeling that their journey was only just beginning.
