The next morning she woke up to the light falling directly on her through the window. Wendy got up sleepily, yawned and stretched. It hadn't exactly been her best night, especially after the events of the previous night. After putting on her glasses, she saw the lion standing in a kitchenette.
"Ah? Finally awake?" said the lion in a contemptuous tone.
Wendy crossed her arms angrily: "Yes, good morning to you too."
"I'm assuming you don't eat raw meat." Said the lion.
"No." Wendy said.
The lion approached her with a plate in his hand. There was a piece of meat on it that was still emitting some smoke.
"I live in the middle of the forest, there's no such convenience of electricity here," said the lion as he turned away.
"You... made this for me? Thanks," Wendy said sincerely.
The lion just growled and returned to the kitchenette: "Just because I look like an animal doesn't mean I can't cook."
Wendy blew first before biting into the flesh almost like an animal herself without utensils. The lion looked at this scene and couldn't suppress a smile.
Wendy looked up at the lion as she swallowed the first bite, realizing what it looked like and clearing her throat, "Sorry."
"I never have visitors and I'm not prepared for a human being." Said the lion, "So you should get back as soon as possible."
"I see. Anyway, thanks everyone for everything." Wendy said.
"Don't thank me too soon, human."
"Wendy."
"However."
The lion turned away and headed for the front door.
"And you?" Wendy asked.
"Hm?"
"What's your name?"
"I think we'll save that and bring you back now." Said the lion.
"Hm... I could call you Kimba for so long." Wendy said and giggled.
The lion turned and growled: "Dare you!"
"Ok... Ok... Sorry I didn't mean to upset you." Wendy said raising both hands.
"Come on now. The sooner I get rid of you the better."
Wendy followed the lion out of the house through the woods. She didn't notice the inner struggle that the lion Al was fighting within himself. Because ever since he had held Wendy in his arms last night, he had caught the scent of her that just wouldn't go away. He hated people for a reason. But Wendy's scent seemed to want to rouse his instincts and he didn't want that. That's why he wanted to get rid of her quickly. Because as much as he hated humans, he didn't want to hurt them either, because that would only make his situation worse, especially if the human government found out about it.
They hurried through the woods back to the wall and Al walked down the wall looking for the hole Wendy got through. But what the lion found there was no longer a hole. That had been locked. Al growled in frustration.
"What is it?" asked Wendy, who had left Al in a bush.
"They closed the hole!" The lion cursed and stamped his foot angrily.
"Oh... Now what?" Wendy asked, keeping her distance from the angry lion.
Al took a deep breath and straightened up, "Staying here is no use. Come on." Al said, walking past Wendy back into the woods.
"Now does that mean I'm not coming home?" Wendy asked while following Al through the woods.
"Not the same way you came. Now we have to take the long drawn out route through the embassy. They have to open the gate to let you out." Al said frustrated, "You stay inside until then."
They reached the house in the middle of the woods and Al let Wendy back inside. As she walked past him, he smelled her scent again. He clenched his fists to somehow suppress his instincts. To make matters worse, the moon would soon be full and then having a being of the opposite sex around could end badly. Al sighed, this person had caused him so many problems that he had to solve now.
"You stay here and you definitely don't leave the house. If you do that, you're mincemeat." Al said and then left the house again. Wendy now stood alone and lost in the little house that seemed to have been built from whole logs. In the kitchenette was a pantry, the hearth, and a faucet that must have been fed by a nearby well or lake. The living area consisted of the sofa and a side table dog a dining table with two chairs. Only now did she notice a photo that was hanging in the room. It showed a lion-man family. mother, father and child. It was a cute photo, everyone was smiling happily at the camera. Was that the lion's family? What had become of them? Apparently he lived here alone like a hermit. As the thought occurred to her, she remembered something she'd forgotten to ask... Was there a toilet here? Wendy was getting very nervous... What should she do if she had to go and there was no toilet nearby? She wasn't allowed to leave the house... Did these beast-men even have such things as toilets or did they defecate outdoors like wild animals?
"Crap crap crap!" she cursed.
