The assistant knew that Aiden had given him a death sentence. The eyes of Leo were piercing as if he could look straight to his soul and his cold face emitted such pressure that was hard to bear.
"That.. I will remind the master of your words." he said in a hardly audible voice as he prayed in his heart when the door knocked again.
"Who is it now?" Leo's face only turned darker as his annoyance increased.
A maid from the chamber of the princess had come. He had forgotten about the name of the young girl but he was sure he had seen her with Renata in the garden.
They were playing ball and the girl was looking at ease. Though she was smiling all the time, he had felt how stiff she was when she was sitting on his lap.
As if she was worried that he could throw her away anytime. Whenever she looked at him, there was a smile but beneath his weariness and hatred was hidden that he could see easily no matter how much she tried to hide.
