Renata knew from the start that the woman had an ulterior motive when she approached her. She nodded her head as even she was curious when Olivia had approached her.
"Thank you, I will wait for your letter then." Olivia bowed her head. Since the time Leo had closed himself from the world, she was worried about him.
Evan died suddenly and so did his whole family but once he announced himself as the new ruler. She had no way to contact him except the audience meeting where he solves the problem yet he never met her when she approached him there.
How much had the girl grown up? Though Renta was looking like an adorable child. She could see how much she had grown up at such a tender age.
"That would not be necessary, you can come and meet me tomorrow for evening tea.
I will wait for you countess Olivia." Olivia was surprised but nodded her head and bowed in respect to her.
Renata walked out of the palace of marquis with her head held high. She was looking cold, arrogant and regal with that look on her face matching the personality to Leo.
One could easily see the striking resemblance between them.
Penny sat opposite Renanta with Lucy and the Physician while Renata sat alone on her seat.
"How is she?" asked Renata when the physician sighed.
"She had consumed a good amount of alcohol but she would be fine after some warm soup and rest.
Her wounds are bandaged well but she still needed to change her bandages constantly and keep her wounds clean.
Though the new one might not leave a scar, the old one had already made many scars on her screen.
I would give an ointment but it would be difficult to get rid of them completely.`` When he noticed that the face of the kid was turning darker every second, he added, "but they would fade much so if the lady wanted, she could hide them with some makeup."
Only then did Renanta nod her head when Penny looked at her with bewilderment.
She still could not believe that all this was happening. When she was taken away, she had thought that it was her end. But who would have thought that she would get a second chance in her life and all that was because of this angel.
She had only spent a single day with this angel, yet she came to the depths of hell and saved her from there.
She felt her heart getting clenched and looked out of the window. If she had gone so far for her, then she would also make sure to sacrifice her whole life for protecting the happiness of the child.
She would try her best and grow stronger so that she could return the favor and would be of some use for the princess.
"You should rest a bit. It would take a long time to reach the palace." offered Lucy with a warm smile as she wrapped a warm shall on the shoulders of Penny whose face filled with gratitude and she nodded her head.
She needed some rest to collect her thoughts and calm herself as the headache was only increasing due to motion.
Soon her breath turned even. Only then did Renata look out of the window towards the knights who were following their carriage diligently.
"Lucy, do you know who that countess is?" she could not get rid of the image of smiling Olivia but to her disappointment Lucy shook her head.
Renata closed her eyes too as she tried to remember Olivia but she did not find any sign of her in the past.
She only remembered her future husband, the head of the knights and one and only son of marquis Hiltshire. One of the most prestigious families in the empire due to the lack of any kids in the family of duke and the end of the archduke family.
Her eyes opened with a start when the image of that man flashed past her eyes and her whole face filled with sweat.
'Keep calm, Renata. There is more than a decade when you will meet him for the first time.
You will be strong enough to handle him by then." she assured herself as she took a deep breath.
"Oh my, did you wake up, lady. I was going to wake you up. Your majesty is calling for you." father? Renata frowned. Weren't they in the carriage?
How was her father? But before she could open her mouth to ask such questions, she noticed that she was already in the palace and on her bed.
"How did I get here?" she asked confused as she took the glass of water Lucy passed her.
"Oh.. that! You were sleeping with so much peace that I did not want to wake you up and held you in my arms and brought you here.
I.. apologize if i have crossed my limits, my lady." Lucy bowed her head as she knew that a mere maid could not touch the members of the royal family but she did not have the heart to wake the tired kid up.
Though she had faced everyone and everything so bravely and with such confidence she was still a child. She was looking so pale and exhausted that her heart broke for the child.
"It is okay. You are my personal maid and my physical body has its own limits." Renata sighed. She did not even realize when Lucy picked her up.
She needed to train this sickly body of hers more.
"Anyway, didn't you say that father is calling me. Do you know what the reason is?" She placed the empty glass on the side table and took off the blanket.
Standing up she walked towards the mirror to see if she was presentable enough to go and meet her father when she heard Lucy,
"Oh yes, I heard that Marquis Hiltshire had visited with his son. He wanted to meet you, my lady."
