"And here I thought that we are closer to the truth." the knight sighed as he looked at the closed door of the inn.
"The owner was suspicious. I will come and look here again tonight with someone else. You should go and rest, my lady." he said with a sigh as he ran a hand in his hair.
But his words did not fall into the ear of Lilian. She was staring at the closed door with trembling eyes.
She opened her clenched hands. They were not empty like before but had a crumpled piece of paper in it.
She opened them with shaking fingers.
The knight noticed the paper too.
He came forward and took it from her hands to open it.
"9pm tonight!" only two words were written in it. But it was all they needed.
Their faces changed various colors and in the end, a look of agitation settled on her face.
