He flinched with her comment in bewilderment and glanced at her. His eyes were beaming in anxiousness as he was gasping wider. For a moment, both of them stayed awfully quiet.
She startled a bit while observing his panicked face and tried to calm him down a little. Somehow, the concern and the anxiety she witnessed in his eyes for Sherry was bothering her.
"Let's not jump into assumptions, William. We don't need to stick our nose inside her personal affairs." She murmured and tapped his shoulder tenderly.
With a stern face, he shifted his gaze outside the large fenestration of the hallway with a heavy sigh. His voice sounded rugged as he murmured, "Ivory, you are the only one who can help me now."
