In the damp bow of the ship, a silhouette clad in a black trench coat stared distantly. Casio placed one hand on the tung oil-treated railing, feeling the overall sway of the ship from side to side. He slowly lifted his head, inspecting the crystal-clear sky where a few white clouds floated quietly, appearing soft and cute.
A seabird swept past, heading in the direction away from the fleet.
A few seconds later, a continuous stream of seabirds flew by.
"It's coming..." Casio lowered his head, his pores standing on end. He seemed to sense an uneasy vibration in the air and the increasingly intense moisture. Something massive was gathering relentlessly.
Five minutes later, the sky suddenly darkened, and everyone could distinctly feel the change in light. Looking up again, there were vast, ink-stained cloud layers as if soaked by ink. They looked heavy, like an entire chunk of sponge swollen with water.
"We've entered the storm band..."
