Through this process, Casio grew increasingly impressed with the beleaguered magician. The magician was quite a talent, regularly breaking out of tricky situations in unexpected ways. For example, when they encountered the third Steam Demon Puppet, the magician pretended to flee but secretly set up fine metal wires which were difficult to detect at night.
The metal wires were controlled by telekinesis and were deeply embedded in two tree trunks. The unsuspecting Steam Demon Puppet charged directly into it, resulting in a sparkly flash and the puppet's metal helmet-like head directly dropping off. It essentially decapitated itself using its own force. However, there was a slight disappointment.
The Steam Demon Puppet had a strong regenerative ability.
Although it wasn't as extreme as immortality, it did require the destruction of most of its body or dismemberment to fully take it down.
Hence, the Steam Demon Puppet survived.
It was then blasted by Casio, who arrived just in time.
