A day later, after the rain cleared, at the Nington train station.
A handsome man in casual attire was sitting on a black recliner waiting for the train, a travel case resting between his legs.
Despite a rectangular platform nearby, people couldn't help but openly stare, clearly intrigued. Brilliant sunlight bathed the man's face revealing neatly arranged features and elegant eyes. His perfectly styled hair and overall demeanour gave off the impression of a scholar.
"Whoo~" a distant steam whistle sounded.
The man abruptly opened his eyes, instantly dissolving the image of the scholarly gentleman. He slowly turned his head to glance around, a cruel, indifferent air of arrogance radiated from him.
The discrepancy with his gentle demeanor was startling.
He stood up, one hand on the suitcase.
And set out quietly towards the nearby platform.
A smoke-billowing steam train steamed into the station as the conductor alighted and started shouting.
