Ilian hesitated for a moment, but eventually opened the wooden door wide.
The two walked in, passed the corner, and the first floor living room was in sight. The air was still filled with the delicious scent of food – lunch had clearly just ended. In the corner, against the wall, three silhouettes were helping each other with physical massages, focusing on the waist, shoulders, neck, and knees, the thumping sounds constant. Squinting, they realized the three were Jim, Kames, and Hebu.
"Grandpa Hebu... Uncle Jim..."
Claire was slightly stunned, then greeted them. The elderly hunters were neutral in the Hunters Association and typically only supported the Chief Inspector of the Black Mechanism. As the niece of the Black Chief Inspector, Claire naturally knew many elderly hunters.
