The promotion ceremony for core disciples that Lixia had mentioned arrived. Under the guidance of Vice Gate Master Samer, Casio got to meet the often secluded Wind Elephant Gate Master. He was a towering and sturdy middle-aged man, with a complexion of ancient bronze, and muscles that were as robust as poured cement pillars.
Just standing before the Gate Master, Casio could feel an intense pressure, which was indeed an aura-based mental oppression.
Thankfully, Gate Master Belon seemed not as stern and serious as imagined. He often smiled when meeting Casio, occasionally inquiring about his cultivation process like an elder would, and praised him more than once for his contributions to the Wind Elephant Gate.
Clearly, Casio's contributions were the primary reason for Belon's kind treatment. It's not just about the importance of the herbs, but also about setting an example.
