On the way, they didn't encounter any other Dead Bloods. It seemed like most had already gathered in the hall. The youth had woken up a bit late. The two quickly arrived at a room, one after another.
Inside the room, half of the space was occupied by a pool.
The surface of the pool, both the inner and outer walls, had a dark black sheen. There were mysterious symbols etched all over it.
It was unclear what its purpose was.
Inside the pool was a babbling liquid that looked like human blood, but without the iron-rust smell of blood.
The brown-haired youth quickly ran over and immersed a hand in the pool water. His arm seemed to be taking something in. The rigid and bewildered look on his face relaxed considerably, his condition recovering.
There was a sudden voice from behind.
"Brother, where is the gathering hall?"
"Oh, the biggest one on the right side of the ground floor," the youth answered while still absorbing from the pool, his mind still a bit slow from sleep.
