"Assistant Lu, get me any Tom, Dick or Harry to marry but take this woman away from my eyes!" Song Jingren said in a voice that only meant that he was restraining his temper.
"Baobei, are you still angry with your Zuni?" Zuni blinked her beautiful and soulful eyes at him.
Song Jingren flashed her an angry look and she cutely zipped her lips and threw the imaginary key at Special Assistant Lu.
Special Assistant Lu looked at God for help. What was his fault? Why was he being pulled under the bus?
"Call Miss He! Health Minister He's daughter, " Song Jingren suddenly said. "Didn't she drug me last year only to sleep with me in order to marry me? Call her. I will marry her."
Zuni, who was feigning to be oblivious of his anger and playing with her newly manicured nails that were painted red the same colour as her heels and lipsticks noted down a name in the black diary of her mind.
"I'm sorry, President Song, I can't approach Miss He, "Special Assistant said with an embarrassed look. He had been trying to call Miss He but he realised how all the numbers he failed were out of reach today.
"My poor Baobei, " Zuni said in a sad voice as if it had nothing to do with her. "
"President Song, if you fail to marry before midnight…"Special Assistant Lu didn't have to finish his sentence to explain his meaning.
Song Jingren was so angry that he had an urge to snap someone's delicate neck. Taking deep breaths, he turned his gaze to look at a certain someone who couldn't earlier reach his shudders but was looking taller than she was. Those damned red high heels!
"Why do you want to marry me?" Song Jingren asked calmly.
"Because I love my Baobei so much, " Zuni replied without thinking.
"Miss, I ask you again, why do you want to marry me?" Song Jingren asked, slightly annoyed.
"Because I can't live without you!" Zuni replied once again.
"I am asking you for the last time what is your real intention?" Song Jingren asked. If she didn't speak the truth this time, he was done with her. For real this time.
"Because you are handsome and rich and I will live a life of leisure after becoming Mrs Song, " Zuni said without feeling an ounce of regret.
"I appreciate the honesty, "Song Jingren said in a sarcastic tone.
"Special Assistant Lu, have this Miss sign prenup and collect her required documents, " Song Jingren said as he entered the red building.
"Stupid, " Both his heart and brain scolded him at the same time.
However, he could only sympathise with himself at this time. Who could stop the storm name Zuni if she is hell-bent on entering his life? He could throw her out of his life like cream on the milk but he didn't?
Why?
What was wrong with him?
"Baobei, kiss!" Zuni said loudly as she noticed how he didn't kiss her after signing their marriage certificates. Then, she realised that the lipstick that she was wearing was a creamy formula and it would form a stain on his lips for sure. "It's alright. We will save the kiss later for our wedding night."
The civil officer who was handling their documents broke into a fit of cough when he heard the woman's shameless statement. Lord, these couples were so shameless in broad daylight!
Song Jingren gave her a look and she understood what it meant! She zipped her mouth again and put the imaginary key in his coat pocket this time. She wouldn't speak until her legally wedded husband gave her permission!
After all, she was a virtuous wife!
Ladies and gentlemen, this was how our President Song ended up marrying his ex-girlfriend who he vowed to never get together with!
