Looking out across the fields, you feel as though you could wander down any road you choose, with no one to hold you back.
At evening on the third day you come into Stanhope. It's a slightly larger town, a market center with a city wall and at least one cobbled street. While it's nothing compared to Medaris, there are houses with three stories around the central square. There's a general air of prosperity. Red flowers bloom in window boxes on the half-timbered houses. It's very picturesque. You resolve to remember the image the next time you need a pastoral village onstage.
