You've struck out in a bold direction with this production. You've persuaded Nichol to play it your way. You just hope the actors are on the same page with you about what this play is meant to say.
By the dress rehearsal, you've reached a state of cautious optimism. Nichol has grasped your idea and run with it. While you can't say that the play will be universally popular, you do think it's good. Memorable, even. If only you were certain exactly how it would be remembered.
