Mom woke me up from sleep, telling me to get ready for school. I hoped like hell that what happened yesterday was all a dream, but the dark circles under mom's eyes convinced me otherwise.
Her heart wasn't even in it when she woke me up. My energetic mom who would have been screaming my name, urging me to wake up.
It was then that I realized that I was in my room, which didn't make sense because I slept in my mom's room last night. Maybe Mom had asked one of the maid's to carry me up to my room.
I decided to take a shower so that I wouldn't be late for school. I couldn't explain how relaxed I felt whenever I was inside my bathroom. The smell of it, the cool tiles, everything about it was just welcoming.
The hot water loosened my tense muscles, but it didn't make me feel good like it usually did. I couldn't stop thinking about last night, about what happened between mom and dad.
