There once lived many beautiful flowers in the woods. All bathe in colors of rainbow that seem to be good.
Out of all of them there stood a red rose. Unlike the rest of the other red roses who shined just as brightly, this one was more pale and ugly looking, almost like it was withering. But none of the other roses bare as much of sharp and deadly thorny veins to any who came too close.
From the distance there was a swarm of caterpillars, that ate plants until their stomachs were filled. But one caterpillar looked into the distance after finished grazing on some of the flowers in the area, and saw the almost dead yet lonesome rose that sat upon a hill. Wanting to get closer he wiggled all the way nonstop. Until eventually the little one found its way to the top.
Now able to gaze more closely at the flower that seemed separated and isolated from the rest. Even though the caterpillar was made to eat plants and flowers like this one, it just wanted to be friends with said flower. The caterpillar tried to get close but couldn't get close because of the wall of thorns. He wouldn't give up, he tried many times wanting to come just a bit more in body strokes length of the rose. Wanting to prove this separation was a lie.
If one would try to understand, that a bond could bloom from just taking a stand. This gave nothing but hope to the caterpillar with a great amount of determination that continued onward not worrying about being cut or stabbed by the thorns that were keeping him away from his goal.
Little did the little one know that it had caught the rose's attention. Seeing that it was trying so hard to get pass its defenses. The rose didn't know what to make out of this as should she attack or continue to watch in astonishment. No other being was so reckless and foolish to try and continue onward. Let alone see anything valuable with an ugly rose as her. Seeing as the caterpillar was not a threat she began to slowly make a way for the hurt caterpillar to come closer to her. This being the first time the rose let down its guard to invite a creature that was its enemy get close.
The caterpillar saw what the rose had done and this only made his heartbeat thump in happiness. Making his way to the inside of where the rose rested, he couldn't do anything but look up at her appearance. Despite knowing that there were many beautiful flowers out there she appeared to be the most dazzling.
The rose was happy to finally have a friend, who didn't give up on trying in the end...
