"Hey, Hellie." Charlotte said with a serious voice in bed.
"Yeah?" Helix asked.
"That letter. What was it, and why didn't you tell us?" She asked.
Marie and Riley wore uncomfortable expressions.
He looked up at the ceiling with a wry smile.
"I've been debating how to apologize tonight." Helix chuckled bitterly.
"It's dangerous for you to know about it, but I'm not hiding it.
I only hid it from you, so your shock during the meeting was genuine."
The women turned to him with baffled expressions.
"Marie, Charlotte, Riley—I'm sorry."
Their eyes widened in response.
Each was baffled and panicking.
"To be honest, I feel foolish giving them that scroll." Helix chuckled bitterly.
"I feel even worse not addressing all of you about it first."
"Woah, chief. Hold up! We support you in anything you do." Charlotte cried when she saw his face.
