Yarin's POV:
Upon hearing this, I extended my tentacle back. Unlike the delicate flowers that Karter had put down in the surveillance camera, this lily of the valley was almost withered. The yellowish-brown spots were all over the pale petals and thin stems as if it had been randomly picked up from the fallen flowers.
The unlucky fellow's words made his leader frown. He observed for a few seconds and then said, "No matter what he says, everyone will pretend that nothing happened today. We don't know what's in the box at all, understand? Don't let me catch any of you running your mouths!"
He closed the lid, and I didn't have time to remove the feelers. A portion of it was broken by the lid and thrown into the box. The box was tightly sealed, almost like cement. I pushed myself to the limit but couldn't find a gap to put my tentacles in. I could only give up for the time being and quietly leave.
