Yarin's POV:
Looking at my companions, they were still unusually quiet, or, rather, dull.
"I can explain," I whispered after swallowing.
At this moment, everyone finally came back to their senses. The soldiers immediately acted as if they had not seen anything and did what they were supposed to do. It was as if they had suddenly developed an unprecedented interest in cleaning up the dirty and smelly blood.
Aunt Eve looked at me and then at Aunt Dorothy. She sighed and said, "You guys have a chat. I'll take care of the rest."
I looked at Aunt Dorothy at a loss. Some 'plasticine' on my body still had yet to be fused in time. The feeling of them seeping into my body was wonderful, making me shiver involuntarily.
"Did I do all this?" I looked at the space and asked softly.
Aunt Dorothy nodded and replied warmly, "Yes, but don't worry. You did well, Yarin. You saved the hostage and chased the enemy away."
"What just happened?"
