Zeryon made numerous attempts to get in touch with Gina, but she didn't return his calls or messages.
The man with the dark eyes flung his cellphone onto the sofa, where it became dislodged and fell to the ground. Heva, who was arranging the orchids in the vase at the time, uttered a startled squeak in response to the clanging sound.
"What exactly is going on here?" Heva shifted her attention to Zeryon as she did so.
Zeryon gripped his fists tenaciously in front of him. He was aware that his sweetheart was pouting over something. Despite his best efforts, the young woman chose to leave when he tried to catch up to her. At this point, she didn't even pick up the phone when he called.
"I think something happened to Gina." Zeryon massaged his temples.
"Is she alright?" Heva slipped the last sprig of orchid in her hand into the vase.
"I guess, she is alright. She might get the wrong idea when she saw me holding Jess Palmer," Zeryon said.
